Exam Preparation Unit

The Testing Office is in charge of all the exams in the English Preparatory Program in our school. The exams aim to evaluate the progress the students make in an academic year and their success are evaluated in three groups. These are informed and non-informed quizzes, midterms and final exams. Portfolios that are composed of students’ writing homework, their works that are done individually, in pairs and in groups constitute a part of the quizzes. While the test office unit includes questions that aim to evaluate grammar rules, knowledge of vocabulary and four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), it prepares questions aimed at four language skills and it measures grammar rules and knowledge of vocabulary indirectly. The exam preparation unit not only aims to prepare exams whose validity and reliability is high but also considers standards of the Common European Framework of Reference.
