History

With the decision numbered 97.39.2761 taken by the Higher Education Executive Board in 1997, the restructuring process in education faculties began. In this process, the education period was increased to five years, one of which was the preparatory year. Our University School of Foreign Languages was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 01/03/2006 and numbered 26095. The establishment of the School of Foreign Languages under Gazi University Rectorate with the decision number 2006/10065 was decided by the Council of Ministers on 08/02/2006 in accordance with the additional thirtieth article of the Law No. 2809 dated 28/03/1983, upon the letter of the Ministry of National Education dated 24/01/2006 and numbered 1100.
